How much installation experience do you have?

Established in 1989, Cumberland Windows have been installing high-quality Windows and Doors in West Cumbria for almost 30 years, making us now the longest established home improvement company throughout the region. Our highly skilled teams of installers, two of which have been with us since 1989!! … carry out all installations to the highest standard and always in a professional manner.

What do your customers say about you?

We also recently became endorsed by the Which? Trusted Trader scheme. Being endorsed by Which? means we follow best practice and procedures in relation to how we handle consumer contracts, goods, and materials, taxes, consumer cancellation rights, payments, guarantees and warranties.

Are you an accredited or approved supplier and installer?

We have a number of accreditations and we are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, as well as being endorsed by Which? and there trusted Trusted Trader scheme. We are also registered by FENSA and we are Approved HALO installers, all of which validate our trustworthy and reliable operations.

Do you have an environmental policy?

At Cumberland Windows, we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact with our recycling waste management processes. See our Energy Efficiency page for more information on our Environment Management System.

Is my deposit protected?

As an approved member of Which? Trusted Trader scheme we had to pass a strict assessment focused on our customer conduct policy. One of the codes to abide by is for our company to have deposit protection insurance. Rest assured your deposit is protected under our QANW 10 year insurance backed guarantee indemnity scheme  – so you know your investment is in safe hands.

What if I have a problem after the installation?

Following installation, any issues will be resolved immediately by our professional installation teams. We have a dedicated aftercare service department for any issues that may arise during your guarantee period. As members of the Which? Trusted Trader scheme we follow the Which? Customer Charter and Code of Conduct to ensure we deal efficiently and professionally with all of our customers.

How long does it take to get a quote?

From the initial point of contact, whether by showroom visit or home appointment, we aim to get a quote back to you within 48 hours.

Do you have a showroom?

Yes, We have a showroom in Egremont, where we showcase a range of our products. Pop in during our opening hours to see the quality of our products first-hand and discuss your home improvement with one of our team who will be more than happy to help.

What should I expect after placing my order?

What styles, materials and colours do you offer?

We offer a wide range of PVC and aluminium windows and doors, which are available in different styles and colour options. Click here to view our Coloured Window web page, or alternatively, Book an appointment or visit one of our showrooms, and a member of our team will be able to go through all the options available to you.

Are your windows energy rated?

All of our windows are ‘A’ rated as standard. This is the highest rating available and by choosing our windows you can enjoy a warmer, more comfortable home, and even save money on your energy bills.

What security features do your windows and doors have?

Our complete range of PVC and aluminium windows and doors come with a full security package as standard. Depending on your product this can include high-security shoot bolt locking, security hinges and SAC bolts to keep your home safe and protected from common burglar attack methods.

Are your products guaranteed?

Our windows and doors carry a 10-year insurance backed guarantee, ensuring exceptional product quality even years after installation. And our roofline is guaranteed for up to 10 years against discolouration and warping.

Can I replace my existing conservatory roof?

If you are experiencing problems with your conservatory such as a leaking roof or it being too hot or too cold to use for many months of the year, we offer a refurbishment and re-glazing service to fix these problems and turn your tired old conservatory into a usable space.

How long will the installation take?

After choosing the products you want and agreeing on the quote, the time of signing the contract to installation is usually 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the time of year and which products we are installing.

How do I clean and look after my new windows?

Our windows are designed to be as low maintenance as possible for you. Dirty frames and glass simply require a wipe down with a damp, soft cloth and soapy water to keep your windows looking as good as new.
